20/6/2025 Ultimate Leppard Review by Kev White

Ultimate Leppard, a tribute to Sheffield Rockers Def Leppard also hail from the same city made their Flowerpot debut this very warm evening.

The group who are all die-hard fans of Leppard put on a top gig tonight to the absolute delight of a near capacity crowd. It was great to see so many Def Leppard tour T shirts sported by the many fans in attendance.

The band members did not try to look like Def Leppard but replicated the distinctive sound brilliantly. And the front man, clearly nervous initially, soon got into his stride, sounding just like the lead singer of Def Leppard, Joe Elliott.

The set tonight comprised of the usual standards plus older songs that Def Leppard themselves haven't played in years including 'Let It Rock', 'Stage Fright', 'White Lightening', 'Tear It Down' and 'Gods Of War' which were pleasant and very welcome surprises.

Other stand-out songs included 'Women', 'Let's Get Rocked', 'Animal', 'Rocket', strippers favourite 'Pour Some Sugar On Me' and set closer 'Photograph'.

The band was clearly having a great night as was the crowd. Hopefully Ultimate Leppard will be back here soon.
